After 38 years as the Lake Central Theatre Guild (LCTG) , Paul and Angie Lowe have established a new LCTG, namely L’arc en Ciel Theatre Group, a not-for-profit 501c3 status community theatre, now in our 42nd year! Having directed more than 300 plays and musicals, we bring our shows to the Great Oaks After 4 Club, where we present the Region’s only full-time dinner theatre, featuring all-you-can-eat FAMILY STYLE dinners with cash bar (during dinner and intermission).

Normal bill of fare includes Tom’s famous fried chicken, roast sirloin of beef, mostaccioli with Italian sausage, together with salad, mashed potatoes’n gravy, vegetable, rolls, butter, & dessert. Eat upstairs in the banquet hall, then see the show in what used to be the swimming pool! Friday dinner at 6:30 with show at 8 pm. Sunday dinner at 12:30 with show at 2 pm. Tickets are still only $27.50 for adults, $25 for seniors, $22.50 up to age 16.
Starting in 2008, we may also be offering Wednesday and Thursday evening shows with the dinners available, but not necessarily required. Tix price will then vary accordingly. Call for info. 365.3197 only please. Wednesday dinners include popcorn and/or fantail shrimp dinners, or the all-you-can-eat fried chicken and/or whitefish dinners. Starting in 2008 on Thursdays, Tom will be offering spaghetti dinners. Cash bar again available.

LCTG presents a variety of plays and musicals, with open auditions for NIETF shows. Some shows are pre-cast and not NIETF-viewable as they often go “on the road” for paid performances. Directors Paul and Angie Lowe want to work with as many new and different people as possible, as well as our original members, to present as many new and different shows as possible, not forgetting the classics, the standards, and our favorites.
It is our hope to continue to bring fun-filled comedies, yet also thought-provoking dramas, and, of course, musicals to Cedar Lake (our home for 36 of our 41 years) and to the south Lake County area.
In addition, we are planning in 2008 to offer a Theatre for Kids Program, gearing our efforts toward home-school kids (and their families) who might not have access to school-related theatre activities. Call for info 365.3197 if interested.

We have also formed a murder-mystery group, the Haven’t Gotta Clue Makers of Mystery and Mirth. We are for hire and willing to put special shows together for individuals and groups.

Don't miss Steve and Shannon in this love/hate relationship!

LCTG is proud to present The Owl and the Pussycat, starring regional favorite theatre newlyweds Shannon and Steven Becker!
Felix, the bookworm, an unpublished NYC writer, vents his frustration by reporting to the landlord that the girl in a nearby apartment is up to hanky-panky, taking the occasional payment for sexual favors, let's say?
When Felix's peeping-tom tattle-tale call gets her bounced from her happy home, she descends upon him with a vengeance, knocking on the door of his apartment at 2 am,
ready for a confrontation.   Doris denies his accusation, claiming she's an actress and a model, not a you-know-what!
It's a classic case of "opposites attract", with comedy, wit, sarcasm, and yes, even new vocabulary, thrown into the mix.
     Not recommended for children.
