				All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten a play September 21-23, 28-30, 2007 Directed by Ed Griffith Based on the stories and essays of modern philosopher Robert Fulghum, this play takes its title from his most famous piece: "Kindergarten" was a favorite of email forwards and fridge magnets for years. A cast of storytellers brings to life these funny, insightful and heartwarming looks at what is profound in everyday life. By turns thoughtful and hilarious, these essays share reflections on Beethoven and Charles Boyer, memories of the mother of the bride whose best plans for a magical wedding went amusingly awry, and the story of Norman, the dancing, barking pig in the grade-school production of Cinderella. Fulghum's unique voice doesn't just tell funny stories, though: the play's many pieces meditate on love, and death, and what that stuff is in the sink strainer; and talk about the ideological difference between Hide & Seek and Sardines, and the hundreds of meanings of "Uh-Oh!" "Most of what I really need to know about how to live and what to do and how to be I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate school mountain, but there in the sandbox in kindergarten. These are the things I learned: Share everything. Play fair. Don't hit people. Put things back where you found them. Clean up your own mess.
