 The Music Man. a musical January 19-20, 25-27, 2008 February 1-3, 2008 Directed & Choreographed by David Long Music/Vocal Director Michael Barr "The Music Man" is the Tony Award-winning musical-comedy American classic featuring delightful characters, lots of comedy, and a memorable score. Well-loved songs from the show include "76 Trombones", "'Til There Was You", "Ya Got Trouble", "Marian the Librarian", and "Gary, Indiana". The story takes place in 1910s River City, Iowa, which sees the arrival of a "music man", a con man named Harold Hill, who typically sells the idea of a boys' band to small town citizens and then absconds with the funds. The charming, but naive, Iowans are skeptical at first, but they succumb to his charms; the only hold-out is the beautiful town librarian.
