No sooner has the ambassador left than in rush the Hollanders (Walter and Marion and attractive daughter Susan) with the Communist police and Krojack hot on their heels. Krojack accuses the now hiding Hollanders of spying; in reality, they are simply tourists from Newark, New Jersey. Axel does not help things, because soon we have a near-international incident before us, and the Hollanders have become political refugees. Along the way they discover the embassy is chock full of colorful characters such as Father Drobney, a refugee of six years, and the chef, with whom Walter, a caterer by trade, argues. With all the ruckus, Axel has completely forgotten that the Sultan of Bashir is due to visit and a grand party is to be thrown for him. How will Axel set everything straight, please the Sultan, and get the girl? Come see DON’T DRINK THE WATER and find out! A play by comedic genius and Academy Award winner Woody Allen, it’s a show you won’t want to miss!
